Simply put, Craig and I do believe CRE brokers who are not intentional with adding value to their role are at risk of being replaced by technology. But the profession as a whole will be needed for decades and beyond.
Here’s how you can add value where technology will lack:
- Provide knowledge, guidance, and expertise on understanding any legal documents and how they affect your client’s business.
- Ensure your client’s best interests come first with a strategic approach to any negotiation you need to lead.
- Develop a relationship with your clients so you are always someone’s first call when they need something.
Your clients trust your expertise and believe you have their best interests in mind as their CRE broker. Continue to always add value for your clients. Remember – if you are not adding value, you run the risk of being automated out by technology.
