Public speaking is a skill that can separate you from the pack. In brokerage, your ability to speak with clarity and confidence is a direct line to more business. Whether you’re pitching a client, presenting a deal, or standing in front of a room full of prospects, how you deliver matters just as much as what you deliver.

Why It’s Important:

  • Exposure brings inbound business. No matter the topic or the room, the more visible you are, the more business will find its way back to you.
  • Public speaking brings clarity. It forces you to define why you believe what you believe—and that clarity makes you sharper and more articulate with clients. I have found this to be very true as we’ve posted weekly content for 3+ years. 

How to Execute:

  • Start with an OBC (Objective Based Communication). Know one or two points you want to get across to listeners.
  • Cut the fluff. If it doesn’t reinforce your objectives, take it out.
  • Make it yours. When it’s your own thoughts and your own creation, you’ll sound authentic and won’t feel the need to memorize a script
  • Get reps. The more you do it, the more confident you will become.
